2007 Hawaiian Open

 

January 20th and 21st, 2007

Kualoa Beach Regional Park
Windward side of Oahu, Hawaii.

The 2007 Hawaiian Open is the first leg of the 2007 Hawaii Winter Tour, being held in conjunction with the 2007 Big Island Open.

The tournament will be a PDGA C tier event. The tournament will be held on Oahu at Kualoa Regional Park which has excellent camping facilities right next to the first hole. There is also a wide choice of hotels available in Honolulu, about 45 minutes away.

    There will be an unofficial, optional doubles round on the afternoon of Friday the 19th. We will play two rounds of 18 on Saturday the 20th. On Sunday everyone will play a round of 18 followed by a round of 9. Then there will be a final 6 hole round for the top four in Open Pro. This should take us late into the afternoon on Sunday so make plans accordingly.

Lunch - Please be advised that there are no food concessions on site. Convenience stores are pretty far away too. There are a couple of food venues a few minutes away. Please plan accordingly.

     Consumption of alcohol is not allowed at Kualoa Regional Park.  Dogs are not permitted in the park.   Please show proper courtesy to other players and park users.

Directions:

The tournament will be held on the Windward side of O'ahu, on the north edge of Kane'ohe Bay. The players meeting and hole one are located at Group A Campground in Kualoa Regional Park.  To get to Kualoa Regional Park from Honolulu, travel "Ewa" or west on H1 to Likelike Highway (63). Travel on Likelike Highway north through the Wilson tunnel. The road will wind down the mountains, so stay to your right and take the Kahekili Highway (83) cutoff. Follow Kahekili Highway north for approximately 8 miles. The Park entrance will be on your right, or ocean side. Follow the road through the park. At the end of the road, there is a coral road off to the right and a sign pointing out campground "A." Follow the coral road to the parking area and campground A.  Player's meeting and awards ceremonies will be held here.
